Abstract
Description
第1灯具ユニット110は、第1光源112と、棒状の第1導光体114と、を含む。第1光源112は、490nm〜498nmの波長域に主波長を有するターコイズ色の光を出射する。例えば第1光源112は、赤色、緑色、青色の光をそれぞれ出射する3つの半導体発光素子(例えばLED)を含み、それら3つの半導体発光素子からの光を合成してターコイズ色の光を形成してもよい。
第2灯具ユニット120は、2つの第2光源122,123と、2つの第2導光体124,125と、を含む。第2光源122,123は、アンバー色の光、具体的には例えば577〜587nmの波長域に主波長を有する光を出射する。第2光源122,123は、第1光源112と同様に、3つの半導体発光素子を含んで構成されてもよい。

図17は、第6の実施の形態に係る車体外後写装置の各灯具ユニットを示す図である。本実施の形態では、第1灯具ユニット110の第1光源112と第2灯具ユニット120の第2光源122は基板130上に実装され、第3灯具ユニット550の2つの第3光源552と、第4灯具ユニット560の第4光源562は、基板132上に実装される。2つの基板130,132は、放熱部材670を挟み込むように放熱部材670に固定される。放熱部材670は、例えばアルミニウムにより形成され、各光源で発生する熱を放熱する。放熱部材670は、形状は特に限定しないが、図示の例では立方体形状であり、少なくともひとつの穴670aが形成されている。穴670aは、図示の例では貫通孔であるが、非貫通孔であってもよい。穴670aが形成されていることにより、そうでない場合と比べて放熱部材670の表面積が広くなり、放熱性が向上する。穴670aが貫通孔である場合、放熱部材670の近くで空気の対流が生じやすくなり、放熱が促進される。
実施の形態では、自動運転中であることを周囲に知らせるためのターコイズ色の光を出射する第1灯具ユニットが、第2灯具ユニットとともに車体外後写装置100に収容されている場合について説明したが、これには限定されず、当該灯具ユニットは、車両に取り付け可能に構成された任意の車両用装置であって、当該灯具ユニットとは異なる機能を発揮する構成部品を備える車両用装置に収容されればよい。
図18は、車両用装置である車両用前照灯170を示す正面図である。図19は、図18の車両用前照灯170の第1灯具ユニット110および第2灯具ユニット120を示す正面図である。車両用前照灯170は、筐体であるランプボディ172および透光カバー174と、ランプボディ172と透光カバー174との間の灯室内に収容される第1灯具ユニット110、第2灯具ユニット120、2つのロービーム灯具ユニット176,177およびハイビーム灯具ユニット178と、を備える。本変形例では、第2灯具ユニット120はデイタイムランニングランプ(DRL)である。
図20(a)、(b)はそれぞれ、車両用前照灯170を示す正面図である。図20(a)の例では、第2灯具ユニットはデイタイムランニングランプであり、図20(b)の例では、第2灯具ユニットはフロントターンシグナルランプである。第1灯具ユニットおよび第2灯具ユニットは、その延在方向が第2の実施の形態における第1灯具ユニットおよび第2灯具ユニットの延在方向と異なる点を除いて、第2の実施の形態の第1灯具ユニットおよび第2灯具ユニットと同様に構成される。
車両用前照灯170は、第5、第6の実施の形態の車体外後写装置のように、赤外線投光器である第3灯具ユニットや、描画情報を路面上に描画するための灯具ユニットである第4灯具ユニットをさらに備えてもよい。この場合、第1〜第4灯具ユニットの各光源は、第5の実施の形態のように共通の1つの基板に実装されてもよく、第6の実施の形態のように放熱部材を挟む2つの基板に分散して実装されてもよい。
実施の形態では、第1灯具ユニットの導光体が棒状であり、導光体の一端から光が入射され、その内部を導光する過程で周面または他端から出射される場合について説明したが、これに限られない。例えば、導光体が板状に形成され、その後面側に並べられた複数の
実施の形態では、第1光源112がターコイズ色の光を出射する場合について説明したが、第1灯具ユニットがターコイズ色の光を出射可能であればよく、これには限定されない。

Claims (10)
- 車両に取り付け可能に構成された筐体と、
前記筐体内に設けられ、互いに異なる波長域に主波長を有する光を出射する第1、第2光源と、を備え、
前記第1光源は、前記車両の自動運転中に、490nm〜498nmに主波長を有する光を出射することを特徴とする車両用装置。 - 前記第1光源と前記第2光源は、同一基板上に実装されていることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の車両用装置。
- 前記第1、第2光源はそれぞれ、放熱部材を挟み込むように設けられた第1、第2基板に実装されていることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の車両用装置。
- 前記第1、第2光源からの光をそれぞれ制御する第1、第2導光体をさらに備えることを特徴とする請求項1から3のいずれかに記載の車両用装置。
- 第1導光体と第2導光体は、並設されていることを特徴とする請求項4に記載の車両用装置。
- 前記第1導光体と前記第2導光体は水平方向に並設され、前記第1導光体から出射された光は前記第2導光体を透過して本車両用装置の外部に出射され、
前記第1導光体および前記第2導光体は、前記第1光源からの光と前記第2光源からの光が混ざらないように構成されていることを特徴とする請求項5に記載の車両用装置。 - 前記第1導光体と前記第2導光体は、互いに隣接し、それぞれの出射面の延長線同士が滑らかに連続するように構成されていることを特徴とする請求項4に記載の車両用装置。
- 前記第1光源および前記第2光源からの光を制御する単一の導光体をさらに備えることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の車両用装置。
- 本車両用装置は、車体外後写装置であり、
前記光源は、ターンシグナルランプ用の光源であることを特徴とする請求項1から8のいずれかに記載の車両用装置。 - 車両に取り付けられるべき筐体と、
前記筐体内に設けられ、前記車両が自動運転中である場合にその旨を周囲に知らせるために、490nm〜498nmに主波長を有する光を出射する光源と、
前記筐体内に設けられ、前記光源とは異なる機能を発揮する構成部品と、を備えることを特徴とする車両用装置。
