<L*値、a*値、b*値の測定>
誘電体まで形成した前面板について、ガラス面、および誘電体形成膜面両側から、分光測色計(ミノルタ(株)製 CM−2002)を用いてL*値、a*値、b*値を測定した。同一基板内3点、異なる基板3枚の計9点を測定し、平均値を求めて各測定値とした。
上記で得たa*値、b*値を元に、下記式によって彩度c*を求めた。
c*=((a*値)2+(b*値)2)1/2
焼成時の熱によって褪色が起こった場合、L値が大きくなったり、彩度c*が大きくなるという問題が生じる。そこで、以下の基準により褪色性を判断した。
◎:L値が10未満で、かつ彩度が2.0未満
○:L値が10以上15未満かつ彩度が3.0未満、またはL値が15未満かつ彩度が2.0以上3.0未満
×:L値が15以上または彩度が3.0以上
<電極比抵抗>
実施例で作製したPDPについて、バス電極の抵抗値、バス電極の厚み、線幅を測定して、電極の比抵抗を求めた。
<コントラスト測定>
実施例で作製したPDPについて、150lxの照明下での表示発光(La)、反射光(Lr)、背景発光(Lb)を測定し、以下の式から明所コントラストを算出した。
コントラストが100以下の場合、表示品位が低く使用できない。
<無効電力測定>
前面板の維持放電電圧を180V、周波数を30kHzとしたときの電流値を測定し、無効電力を算出した。
<荷重軟化点>
(株)リガク製示差熱分析計により測定した。
平均粒径2.0μmの銀粉末70重量部、酸化ビスマス65重量%、酸化珪素28重量%、酸化アルミニウム4重量%、酸化硼素3重量%の組成からなる平均粒径2.2μmのガラス粉末2重量部、アクリル酸、メチルメタクリレート、スチレンの共重合ポリマー8重量部、トリメチロールプロパントリアクリレート7重量部、ベンゾフェノン3重量部、ブチルカルビトールアセテート7重量部、ベンジルアルコール3重量部を3本ローラーにより混合して、感光性銀ペーストを作製した。
製造例2(隔壁形成用ペースト)
Bi2O3/SiO2/Al2O3/ZnO/B2O3/BaO=40/10/5/15/15/15(重量%)からなるガラス粉末(平均粒径2μm)67重量部、ポリマー(サイクロマーP ACA250 ダイセル化学工業(株)製)10重量部、トリメリロールプロパントリアクリレート10重量部、2-メチル−1−4−メチルチオフェニル−2−2モルフォリノプロパン−1−オン3重量部、酸化チタン(平均粒径0.2μm)3重量部、ベンジルアルコール4重量部、ブチルカルビトールアセテート3重量部を加え、3本ローラーで混合・分散して、隔壁形成用ペーストを得た。
表1に示す組成の複合酸化物からなる黒色顔料、および下記添加物を表2、3に示す種類および添加量で、3本ローラーにより混合して、黒色顔料を含むガラスペーストを作製した。なお、黒色顔料中の各金属成分の含有量は、高周波誘導プラズマ(ICP)発光分析と蛍光X線分析を併用することにより求めた。また、JIS−K0131(2002)に従いX線回折象の観察を行ったところ、黒色顔料A〜IおよびO〜Tではスピネル構造特有の回折パターンが観察された。
黒色顔料は各種金属の硫酸塩を最終酸化物比率になるような比率で、約50℃の精製水と混合、撹拌、溶解した。さらに約4wt%の水酸化ナトリウム水溶液を顔料塩水溶液と1:1の割合で混合した。その後、エアレーションを行って90℃で1時間保持し、希硫酸を添加してpHを約7に調整して、1時間撹拌を行った。本溶液を濾過、洗浄後、100℃で8時間乾燥した後、600℃で2時間焼成を行って各種複合酸化物顔料を得た。

光重合開始剤2:4,4’−ビス(ジエチルアミノ)ベンゾフェノン
増感剤:2,4ジエチルチオキサントン(日本化薬(株)製、DETX−S)
分散剤:ポリエーテル・エステル型アニオン系界面活性剤(楠本化成(株)製、“ディスパロン”7004)
重合禁止剤:p−メトキシフェノール
有機溶剤:ジエチレングリコールモノブチルエーテルアセテート
42インチサイズのAC(交流)型プラズマディスプレイパネルの前面板、および背面板を形成し、評価を実施した。形成方法を順に説明する。
Claims (16)
- 黒色顔料、ガラス粉末および有機成分を含むガラスペーストであって、黒色顔料がCo元素および1種以上のCo元素以外の金属元素を含む複合酸化物であり、かつスピネル構造を有する複合酸化物からなる黒色顔料であるガラスペースト。
- 黒色顔料が、Co−Mn系複合酸化物、Co−Cu−Fe系複合酸化物、Co−Mn−Fe系複合酸化物、Co−Cu−Mn系複合酸化物、Co−Ni−Mn系複合酸化物、Co−Ni−Fe−Mn系複合酸化物およびCo−Ni−Cu−Mn系複合酸化物からなる群から選ばれる1種以上の複合酸化物からなる黒色顔料である請求項1記載のガラスペースト。
- 黒色顔料が、Co−Cu系複合酸化物である請求項1記載のガラスペースト。
- Co−Cu系複合酸化物が、Coを30〜70重量%、Cuを5〜30重量%含有する複合酸化物からなる黒色顔料である請求項1、または3記載のガラスペースト。
- 黒色顔料の平均粒子径が、0.01〜0.5μmである請求項1、2、3または4記載のガラスペースト。
- 黒色顔料が、Coを5〜50重量%含有する複合酸化物からなる黒色顔料である請求項1、2、3、4または5記載のガラスペースト。
- 黒色顔料が、Coを5〜50重量%、Cuを5〜50重量%含有する複合酸化物からなる黒色顔料である請求項1、2、3、4、5または6記載のガラスペースト。
- 黒色顔料が、Coを5〜50重量%、Cuを5〜50重量%、Mnを5〜50重量%含有する複合酸化物からなる黒色顔料である請求項1、2、3、4、5、6または7記載のガラスペースト。
- 黒色顔料が、Coを5〜50重量%、Niを5〜50重量%、Mnを5〜50重量%含有する複合酸化物からなる黒色顔料である請求項1、2、3、4、5、6、7または8記載のガラスペースト。
- 黒色顔料の比表面積が、10〜200m2/gである請求項1、2、3、4、5、6、7、8または9記載のガラスペースト。
- ガラス粉末の平均粒子径Dgおよび黒色顔料の平均粒子径Dbが、
0.01<Db/Dg<0.9
を満たす請求項1、2、3、4、5、6、7、8、9または10記載のガラスペースト。 - 黒色顔料を無機粉末に対して、5〜40重量%含有することを特徴とする請求項1、2、3、4、5、6、7、8、9、10または11記載のガラスペースト。
- ガラス粉末のガラス転移点が400〜490℃、荷重軟化点が450〜540℃である請求項1、2、3、4、5、6、7、8、9、10、11または12記載のガラスペースト。
- 有機成分が感光性有機成分を含有することを特徴とする請求項1、2、3、4、5、6、7、8、9、10、11、12または13記載のガラスペースト。
- 請求項1、2、3、4、5、6、7、8、9、10、11、12、13または14記載のガラスペーストを塗布・乾燥してペースト塗布膜を形成する工程、ペースト塗布膜にフォトマスクを介して露光する工程、露光したペースト塗布膜を現像する工程、および焼成によりパターンを形成する工程からなるディスプレイの製造方法。
- 請求項15記載の製造方法により得られたディスプレイ。
