Abstract
PURPOSE:To drive a supersonic motor with constant speed, by varying the sweeping period of a frequency sweeping means corresponding to the output from a speed detection means, thereby controlling the speed of a moving member. CONSTITUTION:A drive controller for a supersonic motor 6 comprises a serrated voltage generator 1, a voltage control oscillation circuit 2, a phase shifter 3 and power amplifier 4, 5. A speed detector 7 for a moving member 14 and a speed comparator 8 are provided. The serrated voltage generator 1 outputs a serrated control voltage sweeping continuously from high voltage to low voltage with a period corresponding to the output from the comparator 8. The oscillation circuit 2 outputs a signal sweeping from high to low frequencies based on the serrated control voltage and applies it onto the supersonic motor 6. Moving speed of the moving member 14 is detected through the speed detector 7, and a control signal is fed through the speed comparator 8 to the serrated voltage generator 1. Consequently, the speed can be maintained at a constant level by varying the sweeping period.
