Abstract
PURPOSE:To save a piping and make a compact heat exchanger including some accessory units by a method wherein the next exchanger and several accessory units such as a separator are integrally formed. CONSTITUTION:A heat exchanger including an evaporation part E and a condenser part C is constituted by one shell 2 and two groups 4e and 4c stored in the shell. A partition frame 6 is present at an intermediate part of groups of plates 4e and 4c. An end frame 8e has an oval outer plate 23 connected thereto and has an integral separator 24 having a partition chamber 25 with a substantial semi-circular cross-section. An end frame 8c has an oval outer plate 31 connected thereto and has an integral after-cooler 32 with a partitioned chamber of a substantial semi-circular cross section. In this way, each of the accessory units is made integral, so that they are made compact and a piping required for a connection of the units is not required and so a required space for the units is decreased.
