Abstract
PURPOSE:To effectively utilize a waste heat generated during disposal of a waste, by a method wherein the heat absorbing part of a stirling engine is exposed to a secondary combustion furnace. CONSTITUTION:A solid waste is dry-distilled in a distilling chamber 12, and after produced gas is mixed in a secondary combustion furnace 15 with fuel fed from a different heavy oil burner 13', the mixture is burnt. A high temperature heat exchanger 17 being the heat absorbing part of a stirling engine 16 is exposed in the secondary combustion furnace 15, and combustion gas generated in the secondary combustion furnace 15 heats a high temperature heat exchanger 17 to serve as the power source of the stirling engine 16. After combustion gas heat-exchanges with a steam boiler 21 to generate steam, it is cooled. After the combustion gas passes through a dust collector 22 and an exhaust fin 23, it is discharged in the open air through a chimney 24. This constitution utilizes a waste heat as the power source of the stirling engine, and enables effective utilization of the waste heat.
