Abstract
PURPOSE:To improve thermal efficiency and to increase specific output of a gas turbine comprising an intercooler and a heat exchanger, by delivering exhaust gas of gas turbine to the heat exchanger and thereafter delivering waste gas from the heat exchanger to a steam generator together with the exhaust gas of gas turbine. CONSTITUTION:Air compressed by compressor 1 is supplied to combustor 2 and combusted therein together with fuel supplied from pipe 28. Work is done in turbine 3 by the combustion gas, for driving compressor 1 and generator 4. Then, in heat exchanger 8 and steam generator 12, combustion gas is used for pre-heating compressed air and for generating steam, respectively. Compressed air from compressor 5 is passed through intercooler 6 and led into another compressor 7, where it is further compressed. Then, air thus further compressed is pre-heated in heat-exyanger 8 and introduced into combustor 9. Combustion gas discharged from combustor 9 is supplied to steam generator 12 together with waste gas of heat exchanger 8 after doing work in turbine 10 and used therein for generating and overheating steam.
