Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable a paper to be set to a position determined based on a fine adjusting quantity, at the time of auto-loading after the first auto-loading, by storing a rotating quantity of a motor required for fine adjustment through button operations after a paper cuing operation is conducted for feeding a paper by an initial set quantity by the first auto-loading. CONSTITUTION:When a printing paper is manually inserted, an end (head) of the paper 4 is restricted at a position 5. With an auto-loading switch depressed, the head of the paper is fed to a position 6, whereby a paper cuing operation is completed. When it is desired to vary the position of the head of the paper 4, fine adjustment switches are used to rotate a platen-driving motor forward or reversely by a minute step at a time, whereby the paper 4 is fed in the direction of an arrow 10 or 11 by a minute quantity at a time, and a paper cuing quantity can be adjusted to a desired position 7. The rotating quantity of the motor required for the fine adjustment is stored into a memory. The second auto-loading is carried out by inserting a paper and depressing the auto-loading switch, upon which the paper is so fed that the paper is cued directly to the position 7. Therefore, it is unnecessary to repeat printing position adjustment for each sheet of paper.
