Abstract

PURPOSE: To enable printing of another individual printing paper with a rolled paper set, by a method wherein, in a self-feeder for a rolled sheet, a paper-feeding slide piece engages a guide frame in a selective manner.

CONSTITUTION: With a printing handle turned, a slide piece 29 moves along a guide lever 31 to make contact with a rear plate 28b of a guide frame 28. During said contact, and in a printing part, printing is conducted on a label a₁ on a paper P by means of a roll. In case printing is performed on an individual printing paper except the paper P, through the backward inclination of a knob 62a of a control piece 62, an forward end of a hook piece 60 is pulled upward through the force of a spring 63, and an engaging part 60b projects into the slide path in the slide piece 29. As a result, the slide piece 29 moves to only the rear plate 28b side, and a rising part 29a engages the engaging part 60b, whereby it is held in the rear position of the guide plate 28 to be left as it is. Thus, a feed blade 32, secured to the slide piece 29, does not move as well, and paper-feeding is not peformed. This prevents the rolled paper from being an obstacle on the insertion of another paper.
