Abstract

PURPOSE:To provide a braking force retaining device for car controlled with a computer, wherein the retaining pressure is prevented from dropping after resetting, by energizing temporarily a solenoid check valve for retaining of the braking force when a control unit is being reset, and then making sure the control conditions and controlling the check valve. CONSTITUTION:When reset, a control unit 14 turns on a check valve (M/V) 15 at all times so as to once retain the braking force. It reads the car speed from a car speed sensor 11, compares the speed with the set value which is close to zero, and turns off the check valve 15 when the set value is exceeded. The check valve 15 shall remain on when the output from comparison is below the set value. In this constitution, the check valve 15 is turned off during running, which does not generate any obstacle running, but the braking force is retained during application of brakes and the car is prevented from moving off.
