Abstract
PURPOSE: To provide an easily formable stretchable raised warp knitted fabric having a luxury moquette feeling and suitable for interior trim of automobile, chair upholstery, etc., by using a conjugate yarn composed of an elastic yarn and a crimped yarn as a ground texture and a synthetic filament yarn as a cut pile. CONSTITUTION: A conjugate yarn is produced e.g. by blending (A) an elastic yarn such as polyurethane elastomer and (B) a crimped yarn such as multifilament polyester yarn. The objective knitted fabric is produced by using the conjugate yarn as the ground texture, using (C) a synthetic fiber such as polyester multifilament yarn preferably having a fineness of 50-150 de as a pile yarn, forming e.g. a double knitted fabric, then cutting the fabric with a center cut machine, etc.
