In such case, the supplying rate of the cooling water is made to little and the flowing velocity is made to slow and by reducing heat quantity transferred from the stave 2, it is needed that the heat holding quantity of the stuck material 4 on the wall is made to much. Control of the flow rate of the cooling water is executed while observing the above temp. difference DELTAT. In principle, by controlling them so as to return back to the water flow rate and the above temp. difference DELTAT at the time of no stuck material on the guy part 2a of the stave 2, the removal of the stuck material 4 is executed.
