Abstract
PURPOSE:To shorten the time required for removing stuck material on wall, to eliminate aggravation of furnace condition and to improve the productivity by controlling flow rate of cooling water at a guy part of cooling stave. CONSTITUTION:The flow rate of cooling water and temp. difference DELTAT of inlet and outlet in the guy part 2a of the cooling stave 2 at the stational operation is beforehand found. At the time of developing the stuck material 4 on the stave 2 surface after dropping out the brick 3, the above temp. difference DELTAT gradually becomes little and dispersion in the descending velocity of raw materials as the same level in the furnace comes to develop. In such case, the supplying rate of the cooling water is made to little and the flowing velocity is made to slow and by reducing heat quantity transferred from the stave 2, it is needed that the heat holding quantity of the stuck material 4 on the wall is made to much. Control of the flow rate of the cooling water is executed while observing the above temp. difference DELTAT. In principle, by controlling them so as to return back to the water flow rate and the above temp. difference DELTAT at the time of no stuck material on the guy part 2a of the stave 2, the removal of the stuck material 4 is executed.
