CONSTITUTION:The acoustic wave which is converted into an electric signal by a microphone, etc., is detected by a detection part 1 and then compared with a reference voltage 4 by a voltage comparison part 3. When the input level of the acoustic signal exceeds the reference voltage, the voltage comparison part 3 outputs a high-voltage voltage. The timer part 8 measures the continuance 6 of the high-voltage voltage. A control part 9 converts the time 6 measured by the timer part 8 into the voltage crest value 7. Consequently, the voltage crest value of the acoustic signal is measured by using only one voltage comparator.
