Abstract
PURPOSE:To facilitate the selection of a material for marking such as a material which is not affected by heat at the time of thermal transfer by putting a mark on a photosensitive body by not stamping thereby increasing the adhesive power thereof. CONSTITUTION:The marker (mark) 5 attached to the side edge along a driving direction (belt traveling direction) is deposited on the photosensitive body 3 by the hot stamping. The transfer layer is once melted on the surface of the photosensitive body and is then solidified by forming the marker 5 by the hot stamping in such a manner. The marker 5 attached to the body in such a manner penetrates strongly into the surface and the adhesive power thereof is high. The material such as the material which is not affected by heat at the time of the thermal transfer to the photosensitive body is easily selectable in this case. Jigs including the stamper 12 to be used are simple in construction and the stage for operation is simple and, therefore, the marker 5 can be extremely easily put on the photosensitive body.
