Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve the operability of channel selection of a radio receiver by displaying a signal to be essentially received in response to an output from a comparing means at the time of coincidence between a reception code signal and the code signal stored in a store means. CONSTITUTION:The reception signal and the code signal indicating its contents are simultaneously sent, and contents corresponding to plural code signals are successively outputted with a voice in a language by a speaker 6 as the voice output means. When an operation switch is operated at this time, the code signal corresponding to contents outputted with a voice is stored in a control circuit 9 as the store means. If the coincidence between the code signal stored in the store means 9 and the received code signal is detected by the control circuit 9 used as a comparing means, the signal to be essentially received is acoustically or visually displayed. Thus, the operation button is only operated at the time of voice output of desired program contents to accurately and quickly select the broadcast of desired program contents.
