Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve the operability of channel selection of a radio receiver by displaying a reception signal corresponding to a code signal stored in a memory in response to the output from an activating button. CONSTITUTION:The reception signal and the code signal indicating its contents are simultaneously sent, and the code signal is stored in a memory 13 by a control means 9 in accordance with the operation of a preset button 14. In response to the operation of a select button 15 as the activating button, the reception signal corresponding to the code signal stored in the memory 13 is acoustically or visually displayed by a speaker 6 or a display device 11. This code signal is, for example, a broadcast station or program contents. That is, the code signal corresponding to a desired program and broadcast station is stored in the memory 13 to accurately and quickly select desired program and broadcast station by the operation of the preset button 14.
