Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a highly durable sheet pusher device by detecting the arrival of a sheet pusher at a prearranged position and reducing the movement speed of the sheet pusher by means of a speed reduction means equipped for a drive means. CONSTITUTION:Material to be printed moves while its rear part is pressed by a sheet pusher 6. A sprocket wheel 28 rotates at a standard speed by means of a servo motor 101, and the pusher 6 moves at a constant speed. When the pusher 6 arrives at a prearranged position, a speed reduction position detector 104 is switched ON, and thereby a speed reduction signal is sent to the servo motor 101 from a D/A converter 105 through a servo driver 106. When the sheet pusher 6 passes over the speed reduction position detector 104, the speed reduction position detector 104 is turned OFF, and a signal to the D/A converter 105 is stopped. Thus the whole constitution is simplified because a speed reduction means is not provided for the pusher itself, and consequently, it becomes highly durable.
