Abstract
PURPOSE:To make it possible to detect the fluctuation of the surface of liquid, by providing a plurality of electrodes at the inner surface of a container, in which the electrically conductive liquid is contained, applying a voltage to the electrodes, and detecting the presence or absence of the conductive states of the electrodes due to the movement of the liquid. CONSTITUTION:Electrically conductive liquid (ink) 2 is contained to a level L0 in a container 1. A plurality of electrodes (+ side) 3 are provided in one stage at the position, which is higher than the level L0 on the inner surface of the container 1. One electrode (- side) 4 is arranged in the liquid 2. When the container 1 is moved in one direction, the liquid surface 2 becomes a slanted surface L0' owing to moving acceleration. The electrodes 3 on the opposite side of the moving direction are immersed into the liquid 2. Then, a conducting path is formed between the electrode 3 and the electrode 4. When the output voltage is detected 5 with a detector circuit 5, the slant angle of the liquid level L0' can be obtained. When the electrodes 3 are arranged at a plurality of stages in the direction of the height and the lowermost stage is arranged in the liquid 2, the electrodes 3 are sequentially immersed in the liquid in accordance with the change in slanted surface of the liquid under the state the container 2 is moved and accelerated. The conducting paths are formed between the electrode 4 and the electrodes 3. Thus, the acceleration due to the movement can be detected.
