Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve a squareness ratio and electromagnetic conversion characteristics by providing plural pieces of evaporation sources and allowing high incident angle evaporating particles to exist near the surface of a thin magnetic film. CONSTITUTION:A ferromagnetic material 9 set in a crucible 8 for the 1st evaporation source is heated and evaporated by, for example, an electron beam generator 7 and the vapor flow thereof is partly shielded by a partition plate 11 and is diagonally deposited by evaporation on a substrate 2 moving along a cylindrical can 5. On the other hand, a ferromagnetic material 9 set in a crucible 8' for the 2nd evaporation source is simultaneously heated and evaporated by, for example, an electron beam generator 7' and the vapor flow thereof is partly shielded by a mask 10 and is diagonally deposited by evaporation on the substrate 2 moving along the cylindrical can 5.
