Abstract
PURPOSE:To prevent mechanical stress from being applied to a Faraday effect material and to hold an optical axis invariably constant by arranging elastic bodies on only three planes of the internal surface of a storage case and pressing the Faraday effect material against other three planes. CONSTITUTION:Two planes of the Faraday effect material 1 including an incidence surface 2 and a projecting surface 3 for light are brought into contact with the internal surface of the storage case 4. A gap is formed between other two planes parallel to said two planes and the internal surface of the storage case 4 and the gap is filled with elastic bodies 14a and 14b formed of silicone rubber, etc., and plates 15a and 15b made of rigid bodies. A hole part is provided at part of the storage case on the side where the gap is formed and elastic bodies 16a, 16b, 16c, 16d, 16e, and 16f made of metallic springs, etc., are arranged in the hole part and fixed with pressure plates 17a and 17b. Then a conductor 18 where a current to be measured flows is provided at the center part of the Faraday effect material 1.
