Abstract

CONSTITUTION:A microprogram control circuit 120 drives a data transfer circuit 110 through a line 203 and monitors the state of the magnetic disk device which is fetched from the magnetic disk device through a line 201. When the magnetic disk device is transitted to the ready state, the circuit 120 drives the data transfer circuit 110 through the line 203 and executes the data write/read diagnosis of the magnetic disk device through the line 201. When the data writing operation to the magnetic disk device concerned can not be normally executed, a comment that the magnetic disk device is in a disabled state for normal operation in sent to a CPU through a line 202.
