Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent the lowering in the freshness or quality of a stored substance, by filling a shape self-holding container with rice along with inert gas to form a hermetically closed container and transporting or preserving said container. CONSTITUTION:A molded container composed of a gas barrier plastic material has a shape self-holding property is filled with a substance to be received along with inert gas and hermetically sealed to form a hermetically sealed container. As the gas barrier plastic material, a laminate material of every kind is known but, for example, Gechron is pref. Gechron is an acrylonitrile type thermoplastic resin and has an excellent gas barrier property, good processability such as deep drawing and excellent adhesiveness and heat-sealed after filling to be capable of being easily formed in the hermetically healed container and also has good transparency. For example, a slight gap 21 is provided in the container 11 so that the container has a shape self-holding property even after the absorption of the filled gas and the pressure in the container is set so as to become equal to or slightly higher than atmospheric pressure even after the absorption of the gas. By this method, the lowering in the freshness or quality of grain can be prevented and an excellent transport/preserving method can be provided.
