Abstract

PURPOSE:To enhance the dependability on the pole by setting the poles so that the direction of lamination of pole steel plates may be set orthogonal to the direction of lamination of steel plates of a yoke. CONSTITUTION:An iron core for a linear motor is arranged so that multiple poles 1 may be lined up in a straight line and composed of exciting coils wound around each pole 1. When the poles 1 are provided side by side on the surface of a yoke 2, the poles 1 are arranged so that the direction of lamination of steel plates constituting a lamination section 4 may be orthogonized to the direction of lamination of the steel plates constituting a lamination section 6 of the yoke 2. The range of field to affect the load is thereby extended to the overall width of steel plates.
