Abstract
PURPOSE:To reduce iron loss and to control increase in sectional areas of iron cores by combination of a first wound core consisting of silicon steel strips which are of higher saturated magnetic flux density and a second wound core consisting of alloy steel sheets of amorphous substance which are of less iron loss. CONSTITUTION:Silicon steel strips 1a, 1a', 1b, 1b', 1c of different widths which are of high saturated magnetic flux density are wound successively from inside toward outside in the sequence of the silicon steel strips 1a', 1b', 1c, 1b and 1a with edges on one side of all the strips arranged in line. The first wound core has been formed in this way so that one side of the faces of laminations 11 is flat. Three different types of alloy sheets of amorphous substance 2a, 2a', 2b, 2b', 2c which are of less iron loss and are of the same width respectively as the silicon steel strips 1a, 1a', 1b, 1b', 1c forming the first wound core, and wound from inside toward outside in the sequence of the alloy sheets of amorphous substance 2a', 2b', 2c, 2b and 2a with edges on one side of all the strips arranged in line like the first wound core 1. The second wound core 2 has been formed in this way. The face of laminations 12 of the second wound core 2 is then placed on the face of laminations 11 of the first wound core 1 for final assembly.
