Abstract

PURPOSE: To set a cleaner main body in a stable position above an inlet main body by connecting the cleaner main body to one end of a second, curved turning pipe the other end of which is freely turnably connected to a first turning pipe, and providing an engaged part that locks the second turning pipe. CONSTITUTION: When a cleaner main body 11 is placed upright by rotating a first turning pipe 26 to the upper limit of its turning range, the projection 67 of a second turning pipe 41 is engaged with a valley 47 in an inlet main body 16 to keep the second turning pipe 41 from turning relative to the inlet main body 16. Then the angle formed by the rotation axis of the second turning pipe 41 and a surface 50 to be cleaned is at a maximum, and the center of gravity of the cleaner main body 11 is located almost immediately above the inlet main body 16. In that condition, therefore, the cleaner main body 11 is stably located above the inlet main body 16 without shaking even if a handle 13 is not gripped, so that the cleaner stands stably as a whole and will not be tipped. If the handle 13 need be released during cleaning, the cleaner main body 11 can be stably placed upright, and since the handle 13 is located in a higher position, there is no need for the user to stoop to grip the handle 13 again.
