Abstract
PURPOSE:To easily and surely lock a shift lever and release it from its lock by constituting a lock device so as to mechanically lock the shift lever, when it is controlled to a parking range, by a lock member utilizing a spring. CONSTITUTION:A shift lever 10 is always energized in one select control direction by a select spring 17. A lock member 42, equipped with a recessed part 43 supporting the shift lever 10, is turnably arranged in its parking range P. Further the lock member 42 is turned to a lock position by the select spring 27 while to a standby position by a spring 48. While a stopper member 45, which is stopped to the lock member 42 turned to the lock position holding the lock member 42 to the lock position, is provided. The stopper member 45 is actuated by an actuator 52, while it is actuated in such a manner as to release the stopper member 45 in accordance with the step-in action of a brake pedal.
