Abstract

PURPOSE:To receive FMX stereo broadcasting in a good condition, by providing a 1st signal generating circuit which generates an output signal corresponding to the electric field intensity of a receiving signal, 2nd signal generating circuit which generates an output signal corresponding to the level of a demodulated stereo-difference signal, and control circuit. CONSTITUTION:A level controlling circuit 22 further controls the level of the output signals of a voltage-controlled amplifier 19. The 1st signal generating circuit 26 is composed of a detecting diode 27, smoothing capacitor 25, and inversional amplifier 29 and outputs an output signal corresponding to the level of an IF signal. The 2nd signal generating circuit 30 is composed of a detecting diode 31 and smoothing capacitor 32 and generates an output signal corresponding to the level of a stereo-difference signal S obtained at the output terminal of a 1st demodulator circuit 16. Since the level of the stereo-difference signal is controlled in corresponding to the electric field intensity of a receiving signals and the degree of modulation of the stereo-difference signal in such way, the level of the stereo-difference signal can be dropped when the degree of modulation in a weak electric field is high so as to sharply reduce noises.
