Let the wear (in diameter) of the tool to be corrected be T, the quantity to be corrected is (1/2)T. Thus, the correction is XT=(1/2)Tcostheta, ZT=(1/2)Tsintheta. The operator measures the diameter T of the tool and enters the numerical controller, then the value is converted into the actual movement of the machine automatically in the controller to simplify the correction.
