Abstract

PURPOSE:To easily realize the switching operation utilizing a large resistivity of an oxide and resistance zero condition of superconductivity using a simplified structure by providing a first electric line of superconductor and a second electric line of oxide superconductor and then providing the first and second electric lines in close protimity to each other through an insulator. CONSTITUTION:A Y-Ba-Cu-O superconductor electric line 1 is formed as a first electric line on an SiO2 substrate 4 of a superconducting device and a Y-Ba-Cu-O superconductor electric line in the same way. These first and second electric lines are electrically connected by a SiO2 thin film 3. If no current flows into this electric line 1, the electric line 2 becomes superconducting with resistance 0. When a current flows into the electric line 1 from such condition, an electric field is induced on the electric line 2 due to the electric field generated around the electric line 1 and the superconducting condition changes to the normal conductive condition. Thickness of the second electric line 2 is set to 0.1mum or less.
