Abstract

PURPOSE:To suppress a shock at the time of restarting a refrigerant compressor in the captioned device which uses engine cooling water as a heat source by providing a solenoid valve which is opened only at the time of heating in a circuit for circulating a refrigerant into a heater which uses the cooling water as a heat source at the time of a heating operation. CONSTITUTION:At the time of a cooling operation, a refrigerant circuit is formed as shown by the solid arrow lines whereas, at the time of a heating operation, it is formed as shown by the dotted arrow lines by the switchover of a four-way valve 4. And, a solenoid valve 12 is opened only at the time of the heating operation by means of a control circuit 20. In this structure, an electromagnetic clutch 3 and the solenoid valve 12 are controlled in accordance with the refrigerant pressure of a refrigeration cycle at the time of the heating operation or the temperature of engine cooling water. And, when controlled by the refrigerant pressure, the solenoid valve 12 is kept in an open condition. Hence, a refrigerant flows into a compressor suction port 2a via the solenoid valve 12 and an expansion valve 13 even at the stop of a compressor 2 reducing the pressure difference between the suction port 2a and a discharge port 2b. Accordingly, the shock at the time of restarting the compressor can be suppressed.
