Abstract
PURPOSE: To produce an incombustible structure excellent in heat insulation and sound deadening effects and further strength and rigidity by impregnating the surface of a fibrous material with a resin or a rubber, curing the resin or rubber and integrally molding the resultant material. CONSTITUTION: The surface of a fibrous material 2 comprising cellulosic fibers, etc., is impregnated with a resin 3 (e.g. an epoxy resin) or a rubber and cured to afford a structure 1 integrally covered with the resin 3. The resultant structure is excellent in heat insulation and sound deadening effects and is suitable as a surface material of a wall of a building, etc. A forming mold is coated with the resin, etc., and a fibrous material is then filled. The resin is further applied thereto to carry out curing molding. Thereby, integral molding of the structure according to, e.g. the mold can be conducted to perform the one-piece processing.
