Abstract
PURPOSE:To provide a heat sensitive recording material which has excellent writing quality, and easy writing and erasing properties by providing a writing quality imparting layer on the rear face of a support. CONSTITUTION:Aqueous soluble polymer is preferably used for a writing quality imparting layer provided on the rear face of a support. In order to improve drying property of ink or the like used for an aqueous writing instrument or an oily writing instrument, one or more types of white to transparency pigments are added to the layer. The pigment includes zinc oxide, calcium carbonate, colloidal silica, barium sulfate, titanium oxide, lithopone, talc, kaolin, aluminum hydroxide, amorphous silica, etc., and the adding amounts of them are twice or less of the total weight of the polymer, and more preferably 0.5 times as heavy as the polymer. In order to obtain uniform writing quality imparting layer, a surfactant may be added to the layer. The writing quality imparting layer is formed by making coating solution formed by adding the pigment, the surfactant to the solution of bonding component, such as polymer, uniformly mixing them to uniformize the components, and provided on the rear face of the support.
