Abstract

A glossy printing paper with improved printability. The paper comprises a paper substrate coated on at least one surface with a layer of coating composition comprising at least 80 parts precipitated calcium carbonate (PCC) and at least 5 parts hollow sphere plastic pigment, parts based on 100 parts by weight of total pigment.. Preferably, the coating composition further contains titanium dioxide. A method of making the high gloss printing paper is also provided.
