Abstract

PURPOSE:To eliminate a warp and to surely separate upper and lower circular blades without directing the latter thicknesswise, by making the upper and lower circular blades cut into a metal plate thicknesswise along an edge part of the metal plate, and by continuously exerting shearing deformation to the metal plate in a direction inclined to the horizontal direction with the use of rotary circular blades arranged up and down. CONSTITUTION:In a first step, a metal plate 3 is cut along an edge part by upper and lower circular blades 1, 2 with an overlapping amount (l) and a clearance (o), so as to form an uncut part 3', and thereafter it is bitten at points A at which separating circular blades 30, 31 cross each other so as to be advanced in the direction of the arrow. The separating circular blades 30, 31 are arranged inclined at an angle of theta to the horizontal direction so as to continuously apply shearing deformation in the inclined direction. Further, since the blades 31, 31 are arranged lapped by a lapping amount S in the direction from the biting position to the come-out side, it is possible to surely separate an article 4 and trim chips 5 from each other.. The angle theta is obtained from tan<-1>(-l/c), and the clearance (c) and the overlapping amount (l) are determined by experimentation in accordance with the material of the metal plate 3 and the wearing condition of the circular blades 1, 2. In the case of a soft metal plate 3 and so forth, even though a warp occurs, it would be produced in the side surface of a plate, but not in the thicknesswise direction of the plate.
