【発明の詳細な説明】
〈産業上の利用分野〉
本発明は、一般式［Ｉ］
１式中、Ｒは炭素数４〜７のアルキル基を表わし、Ｒ１
は水素原子またはメチル基を表わし、ｎは１〜２の整数
を表わす。］ で示されるラクトン化合物を有効成分とする害虫忌避剤
に関する。

従来害虫忌避剤としては、Ｎ、Ｎ−ジエチル−ｍ−トル
アミド（以下、ＤＥＥＴという。）が一般に広く使用さ
れている。

本発明者らは、このような状況に鑑み、より優れた害虫
忌避効力を有する化合物を開発すべく鋭意検討番行なっ
た結果、一般式［ｌ〕で示されるラクトン化合物が公知
の害虫忌避剤に比し、優れた忌避効力を有することを確
認し、本発明を完成するに至った。

一般式１１′Ｊで示されるラクトン化合物は、ココナツ
ツ、アプリコツト、ビーチ、クリーム、ウィスキー、ブ
ランデー、コニャックなどの香気成分として知られてい
るものであって、具体例としては、４−ノナノリド（以
下化合物（１）と称する）、４−ウンデカノリド（以下
化合物（２）と称する）、５−ウンデカノリド（以下化
合物（８）と称する）、８−メチル−４−オクタノリド
（以下化合物（４）と称する）、８−メチル−４−ノナ
ノリド（以下化合物（５）と称する）などがあげられる
。

ランデー、コニャックなどの香気成分として知られてい
るものであって、具体例としては、４−ノナノリド（以
下化合物（１）と称する）、４−ウンデカノリド（以下
化合物（２）と称する）、５−ウンデカノリド（以下化
合物（８）と称する）、８−メチル−４−オクタノリド
（以下化合物（４）と称する）、８−メチル−４−ノナ
ノリド（以下化合物（５）と称する）などがあげられる
。
本ラクトン化合物が有効な害虫としては、イエバエ等の
ハエ類、アカイエカ等の力類、チャバネゴキブリ等のゴ
キブリ類等をあげることができる。これらの化合物はそ
のままあるいは適当な剤型に製剤することにより、害虫
類の忌避剤として用いられる。具体的には、当業技術者
の熟知する方法により、従来から用いられている一般の
忌避剤と同様にクリームやエアゾール等に製剤して用い
られる。また、これら化合物をそのままガラスキャピラ
リ・−や多孔質の素材にしみ込ませ徐々に気化させるこ
とも可能である。

実施例】
第１表に記載の供り式化合物をアセトンで希釈した所定
濃度の溶液８−直径７ｍのＰ紙に１ｍｌ処理し、その移
風乾した。処理許紙および無処理Ｐ紙１枚をケージ内に
吊し、アカイエカ成虫約８００頭を放飼した。その後Ｐ
紙上に静止した虫数を５．１０，１５．２０分後の４回
観察した。なおＰ紙上に静止した力はたたいてとばし、
ケージの位置を９０°ずつ回転させた。４回の観察値を
平均し以下の式で忌避率を求めた。
