Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve the extent of cleaning efficiency as well as to make maintenance service for a device ever so easy, by installing upper and lower friction rollers, holding a water-injection brush roll, a brush rotation speed increasing gear and a belt in between, to the forward direction of a return stroke of the conveyor belt. CONSTITUTION:A conveyor belt 4 to be conveyed in an arrow A direction is shifted to a return stroke by way of a return pulley 5. A water-injection brush roller 1 is installed in this return stroke and water is sprayed to the belt 4, while a small diametral pulley 8 is driven by a step-up pulley 10, making a revolving speed of the water-injection brush roller go up. Next, the belt 4 is held by friction rollers 3a and 3b in between from top and bottom, eliminating moisture, and wastewater is collected in a water receiving pan 17. With this constitution, the belt is efficiently cleaned with an inexpensive device and, what is more, replacement and repair of a brush are easily performable.
