Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent precipitation of white powder even if water from a city water system is directly inputted and used, by incorporating ion exchanged resin by a cartridge method. CONSTITUTION:An ion exchange resin cartridge 8 is filled with ion exchanged resin 13 between a cartridge case 10 having a water outlet port 9 on the side surface and an intermediate bottom 12, in which a water inlet port 11 and a water injecting projection 3 are provided. A water tank 14 is formed by the cartridge case 10 and the intermediate bottom 12. A water tank 2 containing water from a city water system is set on a main body 5 of a moisture applying device. Then, the water injecting projection 3 opens a water injecting cap 1. The water from the city water system is collected in the water tank 14 at first. Then, the water passes in the horizontal direction from the water inlet port 11 to the ion exchange resin 13. Various ions are removed, and the water is guided to an ultrasonic wave oscillator 4.

(Function) With this configuration, the tap water that flows out from the water filler cap of the water tank enters the water tank of the ion exchange resin cartridge, and then flows through the ion exchange resin filled part from the inlet side water passage in the middle bottom. After ion exchange and removal of various ions, the water flows out from the outlet side water port provided on the side of the cartridge case and is atomized by an ultrasonic oscillator.

FIG. 2 is a cross-sectional view of the ion exchange resin cartridge 8 described above. The ion exchange resin cartridge 8 includes a cartridge case 10 provided with an outlet side water inlet 9 on the side, an inlet side water inlet 11, and a water injection protrusion 3. An ion exchange resin 13 is filled between the cartridge case 10 and the inner sole 12, and a water storage tank 14 is formed by the cartridge case 10 and the inner sole 12. In order to prevent the ion exchange resin 13 from being washed away, nets 15 and 16 are provided below the midsole 12 and inside the cartridge case 10, respectively, so as to cover the inlet water port 11 and the outlet water port 9 of the cartridge case 10. It is charged.

The operation of the ultrasonic humidifier having such a configuration will be explained. First, when the water tank 2 containing tap water is set on the humidifier body 5, the water filling protrusion 3 provided on the inner sole 12 opens the water filling cap 1, and the tap water is first poured into the water tank of the ion exchange resin cartridge 8. Water accumulates in 14, and then passes horizontally between the ion exchange resin 13 from the inlet water port 11 to remove various ions, exits from the outlet water port 9, and is guided to the ultra high frequency oscillator 4. When the ultrahigh-frequency oscillator 4 operates in this state, water that does not contain various ions is atomized and discharged into the air from the outlet 6.

(Effect of the invention) With conventional ultrasonic humidifiers, when adding tap water to the aquarium,
The precipitation of white powder could not be prevented unless ion exchange was performed each time using a commercially available simple water purifier, etc. However, the ultrasonic humidifier of the present invention incorporates ion exchange resin into its main body in a cartridge manner. Therefore, it is possible to prevent the precipitation of white powder even if tap water is directly poured into the aquarium. Also, since it is a cartridge method,
The ion exchange resin can be replaced very easily. Furthermore, the ion exchange resin cartridge has a structure in which tap water passes through the ion exchange resin in a horizontal direction, so that the ion exchange efficiency does not decrease even if the height of the ion exchange resin filling part is lowered. It is possible to make the humidifier thinner, which also has the effect of keeping the height of the humidifier body low.
