Abstract

PURPOSE:To aim at automatizing the pay-out operation of a mooring wire, by making it possible to move a wire pay-out device in which the mooring wire may be paid out by means of endless belts vertically holding therebetween the mooring wire, from a whinch on a deck to a ship side hardware along a travelling trolley beam. CONSTITUTION:A mooring wire pay-out device 9 for paying out a mooring wire 5 by means of a pair of endless belts which vertically hold the mooring wire therebetween, is suspended from a travelling trolley 7 by means of a swingable arm 8, movably in he vertical direction. The ravelling trolley may be moved along a beam 11 attached to a rotatable post 12 planted on a deck 1, from a mooring winch 2 tothe positio of a ship side mooring hardware 4. The mooring wire automatically wound up on the winch 2 which is unmanned is gripped by the mooring wire pay-out device 9 so that it may be carried to a mooring hardware 4, thereby it is possible to aim at automatizing the mooring wire pay-out work and as well aim at saving labour.
