Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent curling of a release paper, to enhance traveling stability and productivity, by using the release sheet of paper having lengthwise fiber direction for a transfer sheet, and according this fiber direction with the paper traveling direction of a copying machine. CONSTITUTION:A release sheet of paper 8 having lengthwise fiber direction is used as the base of a transfer sheet, and the paper 8 is placed in the paper cassette so as to accord the fiber direction of the paper 8 with the paper traveling direction of a copying machine. A toner image corresponding to the reflected image of an original 7 placed on a platen 9 is formed on the paper 8 by operating a copying machine to obtaina transfer sheet.

The image (2) surface is brought into close contact with the object to be transferred (4) by applying heat and pressure.
A so-called hot-melt method is known in which the base (1) is peeled off as shown in FIG. 8 after the transfer image (2) is transferred and fixed on the surface.

As is well known (2), according to the electrophotographic copying method generally called xerography, it is possible to print on a photosensitive plate that resonates with the original printing plate without the need for complicated plate-making work as in the case of normal printing. After developing the electrostatic latent image with toner and transferring it to make a copy, the electrostatic latent image is erased from the photosensitive plate,
The same or different electrostatic latent image is deposited on the photosensitive plate as desired (from the second step).
Two forms can be formed.

Therefore, this method is most suitable for creating a small number of transfer sheets, for creating a large number of transfer sheets first, or for checking the finished state of the transfer sheet.

FIG. 4 is a side sectional view showing the general configuration of the electrophotographic copying machine, and the copying machine is used to create a transfer sheet (
Second, the paper (6) with release properties (hereinafter referred to as release paper) is stored in the paper cassette (5), the copying machine is operated, and the original (7) (the toner, which is a mirror image of the other), is fixedly fixed. An image is formed on the release paper (6) to form a transfer sheet. In order to create an image that is a mirror image of the original, a mirror of an in-mirror lens (not shown) in the copying machine is used. Either use a prism mirror, or create an image on a transparent film, turn it over, and use it as an original (this can be done in two ways).

However, when creating a transfer sheet using this electrophotographic copying machine, the basis weight of the release paper is approximately 50 g/m2, which is lighter and less stiff than normal copy paper (approximately 70 g A12). The left and right ends of the release paper tend to droop and curl while the paper is running, which causes paper jams to occur frequently in the copying machine, and the machine must be stopped each time to remove the jammed release paper. Moreover, if a paper jam occurs in the fixing section, the release paper will burn, creating a risk of fire.

Therefore, as a result of intensive research to eliminate and improve the above-mentioned drawbacks of the prior art, the inventors of the present invention surprisingly discovered that they used a sheet-like release paper with a vertical grain, and that the vertical grain direction of the release paper in parentheses and the copying machine We have obtained experimental results that when the release paper is set in a copying machine in the same running direction as the paper running direction, curling of the release paper during running is less likely to occur.

That is, the present invention was completed based on such experimental facts, and an object of the present invention is to provide a method that can produce a transfer sheet more stably than the electrophotographic copying method.

That is, the present invention is a method for creating a transfer sheet by electrophotographic copying, in which a sheet-like release paper with a vertical grain is used as the base of the transfer sheet, and when the release paper is set in a copying machine, the vertical grain of the release paper is The direction is the same as the paper running direction of the copying machine, and secondly, it prevents the release paper from curling, increases running stability, and improves productivity.

Embodiments of the present invention will be described below with reference to the drawings. As shown in FIG. 5, a vertically grained sheet-like release paper (8) is used as a base for a transfer sheet, and an electrophotographic image shown in FIG. 4 is used. The sheet was stored in a paper cassette (5) of a copying machine so that the paper traveling direction of the copying machine (direction of arrow A in FIG. 5) was the same as the longitudinal direction of the release paper (8).

Next, by operating the copying machine, a toner image that was a mirror image of the original (7) placed on the platen (9) was formed on the release paper (8) to obtain a transfer sheet.

Here, the above-mentioned release paper (8) is conveyed by means of conveyance such as a feed roll (
The paper is transported between the paper cassette (5) and the paper output tray (lO) in the copying machine from the second point, but during the movement, the release paper (8)
The paper is subjected to tension in the longitudinal direction (2) by the above-mentioned conveying means, and although it is unclear whether this is the cause, the paper becomes stiffer, and as a result, curling does not occur and paper jams are significantly reduced. The incidence of paper jams was approximately 1 in 1,000 sheets.

On the other hand, as shown in FIG. 6, a sheet-like release paper (8) with a vertical grain is stored in the paper cassette (5) (2) so that the vertical grain direction and the paper running direction are perpendicular to each other. (
- When I operated the copying machine, the paper curled in the longitudinal direction (perhaps because it was not subjected to tension) and paper jams occurred about once every 80 to 40 sheets.

Also, for the same reason, as shown in Figure 7, when a sheet-like release paper αυ with a cross-grain was stored in C2 so that the direction of the grain was perpendicular to the paper running direction, 50 to 80 sheets (21 A paper jam occurred several times.

On the other hand, as shown in FIG. However, paper jams occurred about once every 30 to 40 sheets, probably because the tension exerted by the paper was weaker compared to vertically grained release paper due to horizontal feeding.

In the present invention, the term "V" of paper refers to the direction in which the fibers of the paper are oriented, and "longitudinal sheet paper" refers to paper whose first stitch is parallel to the long side of the sheet. good,
Further, sheet-like paper with horizontal grain refers to paper whose "grains" are parallel to the short sides of the sheet-like paper.

The present invention is as described above (2. A sheet-like release paper with a longitudinal grain is used as a base of a transfer sheet, and the longitudinal grain direction of the release paper is the same as the paper running direction of the copying machine.
