A so-called hot-melt method is known in which the surfaces are brought into close contact and the transferred image 2 is transferred and fixed on the surface of the transfer target 4 by heat and pressure, and then the base 1 is peeled off as shown in FIG.
In addition to the method of applying heat and pressure, there is also a method of using water or the like, as in the case of transferring decorative patterns on plastic models.

After creating a copy by developing and transferring the electrostatic latent image with toner,
The electrostatic latent image is erased from the photosensitive plate, and the same or a different electrostatic latent image can be formed on the photosensitive plate again, if desired.

In order to create a transfer sheet using this copying machine, paper 6 (hereinafter referred to as A copying machine is operated to form a fixed toner image on the release paper 6 which is a mirror image of the original 7, thereby forming a transfer sheet. To create an image that is a mirror image of the original, either use a prism mirror as the in-mirror lens (not shown) in the copying machine, or create an image on a transparent film and then turn it over. This can be done by using it as a manuscript.

g/m 2 compared to regular copy paper (grammage approximately 70 g/m 2 ), and the paper is less stiff, so the left and right ends of the release paper tend to sag and curl while the paper is running. However, paper jams frequently occur within the copying machine, and the machine has to be stopped each time to remove the jammed release paper. Moreover, if a paper jam occurs in the fixing section, the release paper will burn, creating a risk of fire.

As a result of intensive research to eliminate and improve the above-mentioned drawbacks of the prior art, the inventors of the present invention surprisingly found that they used a sheet-like release paper with a vertical grain, and that the longitudinal grain direction of the release paper and the copying machine We have obtained experimental results that when the release paper is set in the copying machine in the same running direction as the paper running direction, the curling phenomenon of the above-mentioned release paper during running is less likely to occur.

Embodiments of the present invention will be described below with reference to the drawings. As shown in FIG. 5, a sheet-like release paper 8 with vertical grains is used as a base for a transfer sheet, and an electrophotographic copying machine shown in FIG. 4 is used. The paper cassette 5 was housed in such a manner that the paper traveling direction of the copying machine (direction of arrow A in FIG. 5) was the same as the longitudinal grain direction of the release paper 8.

The paper is under tension, and it is unclear whether this is the cause, but the paper becomes stiffer, and as a result, curling does not occur and paper jams are significantly reduced, and the occurrence rate of paper jams is approximately 1 in 1000 sheets. It became.

As a result, the paper curled and jammed about once every 30 to 40 sheets, probably because no tension was applied in the longitudinal direction.

Yes, but because it is horizontally fed, the tension received is weaker compared to vertically grained release paper.30

As described above, the present invention uses a sheet-like release paper with a longitudinal grain as a base of a transfer sheet, and sets the release paper in a copying machine so that the longitudinal grain direction of the release paper is the same as the paper running direction of the copying machine. Since the release paper is conveyed within the copying machine without curling, its running stability is high and the occurrence of paper jams can be significantly reduced.
