Abstract

PURPOSE:To reduce the weight of a wheel and to facilitate mounting of a nipple, by a method wherein, in a spoke wheel with a disc brake, a disc plate is attached to the side, in the horizontal direction of a vehicle body, of a spoke mounting part communicated with a hub. CONSTITUTION:Flanges 22b and 22b' are formed at the sides, in the horizontal direction of a car body, of a flat part 22a of a spoke mounting part 22 concentrically communicated with the outer periphery of a hub 21 through a rib 23. The flanges 22b and 22b' are gradually spread toward the rim 29 side and outwardly to form projection parts 22c and 22c'. A disc plate mounting projection part 27 is formed on the flange 22b' in a manner to extend around the projection part 22c'. Spokes 24, 24 are respectively attached to the projection parts 22c and 22c', and a disc plate 26 is mounted to the projection 27. This enables reduction of the weight of a wheel through formation of cavity in a part between a hub and a spoke mounting part, and permits facilitation of mounting of a nipple.

部2bが肉厚とされ、該基部2aに複数のボルト3を用
いてディスクプレート4が固着されておシ、またリム5
はそのノ・プと対向する内周面の左右方向略中央部に複
数の半球状座部5〜a及びその中央部にスポーク係止用
孔5bが形成されている。そしてスポーク6はハブ側の
端部6aが屈曲し、その先端に拡張頭部6bが形成され
ておシ、リブ側の端部6Cから前記ハブ1に形成された
フランジ2.2のスポーク係止用孔2aにフランジ2,
2の左右側から交互に挿通し、前記リム5のスポーク係
止用孔5bにタイヤ側から嵌入係止したニップル7に螺
着することKよシ、 −ハブ1及びリム5を接続してい
る。しかしこの車両用ホイールにおいては、ディスクプ
レートがフランジ基部に取り付けられているため広くな
り重量増加を免れないし、ま、たスポークを夫々フラン
ジ左右側から交互に挿通せしめるためその取付作業が複
雑である。そして次にこれらの点を改善したものとして
は例えば第2図に示すものがあり、リム15側は前記の
ものと同様であるがハブ11の左右両側に形成されたス
ポーク係止用孔12tlを有するフランジ12.12は
、夫々リム15側にかづ外方に向って斜めに延び、かつ
その一方の先端に肉厚部12aが形成され、該肉厚部1
2aにボルト13を用いてディスクプレート14が固着
されている。従ってディスクプレートは中心付近が同心
円状にくシ抜かれた環状のものとなり、よって軽量化す
ることができるとともに、スポーク16は夫々のフラン
ジ12.12の外側からのみ挿通することとなるため取
付作業も容易である。

を持たせつつ、またディスクプレート取付用ボルトを避
けてニップルを取シ付けるためには、フランジを更に延
出せしめて大型化しなければならず、重量が増加するし
、ニップルの取付作業も複雑となる等の欠点を有してい
る。

る環状隆条部29aが形成され、該環状隆条部29aの
側壁にはスポーク係止用孔29bが穿設されている。そ
してスポーク24はリム29側の端部が屈曲され、その
先端には拡張頭部(図示せず)が形成されておシ、ハブ
側の端部から前記リムに穿設されたスポーク係止用孔2

かつ外方に向って次第に拡開するように延びる形状のだ
め、該フランジにスポーク係止用孔を穿設する加工作業
が容易であシ、さらにまだスポーク取付部とハブとの間
の空洞により、ニップルの取付作業も容易である等諸効
果を有するものである。
