Furthermore, if the oil in the exhaust gas is not separated and removed reliably, a portion of it will adhere to the exhaust fan, and the remainder will be discharged to the outside as is. In this case, the oil discharged to the outside pollutes the environment around the duct outlet. For kitchen exhaust systems in restaurants, etc., some metropolitan areas, prefectures, and prefectures have regulations that require the installation of grease filters or other oil removal devices in the air, especially from the perspective of preventing fires caused by flame transmission within the ducts. It is mandatory.

Although it is effective in collecting large amounts of oil particles,
This method was not perfect as an oil separation means in that some of the oil particles or small-mass oil particles flowed into the exhaust duct along with the exhaust flow. Conventionally, the part where oil particles are collided and separated is made larger and the exhaust flow is made to collide with the exhaust stream multiple times to increase the ability to capture oil and fat, and the captured oil and fat are removed using detergent, etc. What you configured (
This method is called a grease extractor), and a method in which a rotating body is installed in the exhaust flow, oil is attached to it, and oil is separated by centrifugal force (Japanese Patent Laid-Open No. 55
10942 and Japanese Utility Model Application No. 56-115612) have been proposed.

There was a drawback to that. In addition, in the latter case, the area of the blades and rods that play the main role in collision separation is small, and because they are simply rotated in one direction, oil particles that have passed through the gaps between the blades and rods are captured. Therefore, the ability to capture and separate oil is insufficient, and it is not possible to prevent oil from adhering to the inner surface of the exhaust duct or the exhaust fan, necessitating periodic maintenance and inspection of the exhaust duct from the standpoint of disaster prevention.

Conventionally, the exhaust gas containing this ink mist is passed through a copper air filter, a grease filter, and an activated carbon filter in sequence. However, most of the ink mist still passes through the filter, and the ink mist in the exhaust gas cannot be reliably collected.

At least one baffle plate is provided on the downstream side of the impeller and has an opening in the center and extends from the inner surface of the duct, so that the blades of the impeller can freely rotate. This method collects the oil, etc. attached and splashes it to the inner surface of the duct, and also causes the flow of the exhaust to collide with the baffle plate. It is characterized in that it is ensured that it is collected by the plate and the inner surface of the duct on the upstream side thereof.

Reference numeral 9 denotes a mounting duct which is fitted into the entrance of the exhaust duct 5 through the upper opening of the canopy l and fixed together with the hanging frame 3 to the periphery of the upper opening of the canopy 1. A shaft 10 passing through the center is supported, and on the shaft 10, as shown in FIG. In the case of the embodiment, they are attached in pairs (one pair, two in total) at appropriate intervals. Furthermore,
On the downstream side of each impeller 11, 12, a baffle plate 14 is provided which gradually narrows from the inner surface of the duct in the exhaust direction and has an opening 13 formed in the projecting center. At the lower end of each baffle plate 14, oil drain ports 16 are provided, which are notched here and there and allow vertical communication between the inner surface of the mounting duct 9. Further, an oil receiver 17 is continuously provided on the inner periphery of the lower end of the mounting duct 9, and the oil receiver 17 is a groove-shaped or tubular drain provided on the side plate of the hanging frame 3 to which the grease filter 2 is not attached. It communicates with the oil pan 4 via an oil passage (not shown).

The large-mass oil particles and small-mass oil particles that were not collected by the grease filter 2 are then reliably collected by the functions of this device, which will be described in detail below, and are sent to the oil pan via the oil pan 16. The exhaust gas from which the oil has been separated and removed passes through the exhaust duct 5 and is discharged to the outside.

The flow of exhaust gas that has passed through the opening 13 of the baffle plate 14 in the first stage spreads rapidly and uses the blades of the impeller 12 in the second stage to turn the impeller 12 in the opposite direction to the impeller 11. At this time, it is rotated somewhat in the opposite direction to the rotational direction of the impeller 12, and is narrowed by the second-stage baffle plate 14 and passes through the central opening 13 thereof.

At the same time as it adheres, it is collided and collected by the first stage baffle plate 14, and both are transferred to the oil pan 17 through the installation duct 9.
It flows down the inside of the body.

It is collided and collected by the second stage baffle plate 14,
In both cases, the installation duct 9 passes through the oil drain port 16 and connects to the oil receiver 17.
It flows down the inside of the body. The oil accumulated in the oil pan 17 is collected into the oil pan 4 via an oil drain path (not shown).

The oil particles in the exhaust gas collide with the stage impeller at an angle close to perpendicular to improve the collection effect of oil adhering to the impeller and colliding with the impeller.
The action of 2 and the collision collection action of the baffle plate 14 work together to dramatically improve the effect of separating and collecting oil in the exhaust gas. Furthermore, as will be described in detail later, by slightly modifying the structure of the baffle plates, etc., this device can be placed in either the vertical or horizontal position without any problem.

Even if two baffle plates (two stages) are provided, no problem will occur. However, for example, if the first stage impeller 11 located on the most upstream side is actively rotated by the motor 18 as in the second embodiment shown in FIG. 4, the exhaust capacity can be improved. In this case, it is also possible to use three or more baffle plates 14 in combination with the impellers 11 and 12, since it is possible to improve the function of the device.
