Abstract

PURPOSE:To set an optimum sound recording bias value in a short time by varying resolution in accordance with the kind of a magnetic tape and deciding on an irreducible necessary overall variable bias range. CONSTITUTION:The titled method is referred to a test for setting the recording bias value while the resolution in the overall variable bias range for all kind of magnetic tapes is divided into 16 steps. For a normal magnetic tape, when the 10th step is regarded as the optimum sound recording bias value, variation in sound recording bias value due to the difference of one magnetic tape from another is a little, so the overall variable bias range is narrowed down by changing the number of steps of the resolution in the variable bias range T1 to 8 steps to set the 6th step as the optimum sound recording bias value as shown in a figure (b). けによシ、最適な録音バイアス電流の大きさがそれぞれ
異なるため、テープレコーダにおける上記した録音バイ
アス電流の大きさを一定(固定)としたままで異なった
種類の磁気テープを使用した場合は、各々の磁気テープ
が有する最適な特性が得られないものである。すなわち
、テープレコーダにおける磁気記録再生においては、上
記したそれぞれの磁気テープの特性VC合せた最適な録
音バイアス電流の設定が必要となる3、録音バイアス値
の設定に際して、最適なる録音バイアス値を検出する一
般的な方法として、次に示すものがある。
