Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable high speed transmission, by establishing frame and word synchronism through the use of a specific signal in data, and making the separation of video signal data, audio signal data and data signals in a multiplex state. CONSTITUTION:A timing control circuit 38 forms a generation timing of a specific f-pattern and command of synchronizing flag of each subframe based on an H signal of video signals at transmission side, and a multiplex circuit 39 inserts subframes such as audio and data to an H signal section. The data are transmitted via a P/S converter 40. On the other hand, at the reception side, after f-pattern detection 51, the confirmation of the f-pattern each frame length is made at a frame synchronizing circuit 52 for the confirmation of frame synchronism and word synchronizing timing. A multiplexing separation circuit 55 outputs a video signal via a D/A converter 56 and an audio signal via a D/A converter 59 and a data signal via a buffer circuit and an interface circuit 60.
