Abstract

PURPOSE:To multiplex an audio PCM signal and a digital data signal, by assigning a specific code for separation and pickup at no-tone, in a system multiplexing and transmitting the digital data signal into an audio PCM code train through multiplexing. CONSTITUTION:When a code indicating no-tone out of an audio PCM transmission signal 200 is detected by a multiplexing circuit 120, a transmission data frame 204 succeeding to the no-tone code is read out and transmitted. Thereafter, when codes other than the no-tone code are detected, the transmission data frame 204 is stopped and then, a re-corded PCM signal 201 is transmitted. At a reception side, a digital data multiplexing signal 300 is inputted and when a specific code succeeding to the no-tone signal is detected, a reception data frame 302 is transmitted to a digital data reproducing circuit 150 and a restored digital data reception signal 303 is outputted.
