Abstract
PURPOSE: To perform sewage treatment stably with good efficiency by providing measuring instruments for inflow sewage flow rate and return sludge flow rae, a setter for return sludge flow rate, etc., an operator for concn. of activated sludge in an aerating vessel, an operator for amt. of accumulated sludge, etc.
CONSTITUTION: A flowmeter 2 measuring the flow rate of inflow sewage, a flowmeter 9 measuring the flow rate of return sludge, and a densitometer 10 measuring the concn. of return sludge are installed in a sewage treatment plant, and these are so connected that the signals from said measuring instruments can be transmitted to the 1st operator 14 storing aerating vessel models, the 2nd operator 15 storing settling basin models, and a controller 16 having control modes. Further, the change rate of the flow rate of return sludge or the flow rate of settling basin sludge withdrwal and its set output stop time from the controller 16 are transmitted to a setter 17. When a return sludge pump 9 is operated, the MLSS concn. of the aerating vessel and the accumulation amt. of sludge in the settling basin are responsded in the neighborhood of set values.
