Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable to prevent the production of an error due to a floating magnetic field and of an error due to magnetic saturation of a rodform magnetic core, by a method wherein two high-frequency detecting coils, coiled around a rodform magnetic core, are mounted at both sides of a conductor to be measured. CONSTITUTION:A high-frequency magnetic field, consisting of a high-frequency current component contained in a current flowing in a conductor 1, is generated in a concentric circle centering around the conductor 1. The high-frequency magnetic field generates a high-frequency induction voltage at detecting coils 2a and 2b by a focusing magnetic action of rodform magnetic cores 5a and 5b attached to a fixture stand 4, and induction voltages from the two detecting coils 2a and 2b are produced in a total sum at an output terminal 13. Over a floating magnetic field except a high-frequency current component flowing in the conductor 1 and existing in the proximity of the conductor 1, the induction voltages are not produced at the output terminal 3 resulting from the erasing of each other. This permits the reliable detection of a high-frequency current.
