Abstract
PURPOSE:To shorten the time until a motor starts rotating by connecting a resistor between the emitter and the collector of a soft starting transistor. CONSTITUTION:The output of a speed controlling transistor 13 for amplifying the voltage of the difference between the speed voltage from a tachometer generator 10 and a set reference voltage on a variable resistor 8 is supplied through a parallel circuit of a variable resistor 33 and a soft starting transistor 14 to a capacitor 15. When the charged voltage of the capacitor 15 becomes higher than the prescribed value, a trigger diode 16 is conducted ON, and a thyristor 3 connected in series with a motor 2 is conducted ON. Since the capacitor 15 is charged through the resistor 33 simultaneously upon starting of the start switch 19 in this manner, the motor 2 will rotate slightly, the soft starting transistor 14 is gradually conducted by the time constant of the resistor 20 and the capacitor 21, and the rotating speed of the motor 2 is gradually accelerated.
