Abstract
PURPOSE:To realize the limiter characteristics from the soft- to hard-limiter, by turning on or off of a switching elements depending on the output level of an operational amplifier, through the connection of the switching element to a feedback path of the operational amplifier. CONSTITUTION:If resistors r1, r2 are sufficiently smaller than a feedback resistor Rf, the limiter acts like as a hard-limiter. In this case, the output signal of an operational amplifier 4 is compared respectively with limiter operating voltages VS1, VS2 at comparators 10, 12. Further, a pulse (b) is outputted from the comparator 10 depending on the part higher than the voltage VS1 in the signal waveform, and a pulse (c) is outputted from the comparator 12 depending on the part higher than the voltage VS2. These pulse outputs are respectively applied to FETs 6 and 8 connected to the feedback path of the amplifier 4 respectively, and the gain of the amplifier 4 is rapidly lowered by turning on the FETs 6 and 8 when the pulse outputs are high.
