Abstract
PURPOSE:Not only to facilitate the production of program but to reduce the power consumption, by cutting off the power supply by means of an auxiliary storage control circuit of a communication controller. CONSTITUTION:A control circuit 4 receives a signal A and stores it in a power supply control register 1. Accordingly a power supply circuit part 2 produces a signal B and turns on the power supply of a floppy disk 3. The head of the disk 3 loads a signal C by the signal A and then unloads it when the reading/writing is over. This action is detected by an unloading detecting circuit 10, and a signal D is supplied to a time control circuit 11. The circuit 11 works to count pulses E until the signal C is loaded. A prescribed time is set at the circuit 11, and the next loading if any within the prescribed time is neglected. The circuit 11 produces a signal F when the next loading is carried out outside the prescribed time. The cut-off of the power supply is stored in the register 1, and the power supply of the disk is cut off via the power supply circuit part 2.
