Abstract

PURPOSE:To stop the turning of motor when no recording mecdium is loaded, by providing the circuit detecting the open and close of the cover of unit and that detecting the removal of the recording medium, and providing the circuit outputting the stop signal of motor with the output signal. CONSTITUTION:To load the recording medium to the floppy disc unit, when the cover of unit is open, the open and close detection circuit 1 outputs the open signal A2, and the start signal C1 from the OR circuit 4 turns the motor 6 via the power supply circuit 7 with the signal. When the recording medium is loaded, the unloading detection circuit 2 feeds the loading signal B1 to the OR circuit 4 and the signal C1 is output to keep the turning of the motor 6. When the cover is closed, the open signal A2 is turned off, but the motor 6 keeps turning with the signal B1. After the end of use, the cover is open and the recording medium is unloaded, then the removal signal B2 s turned on, and when the cover is closed succeedingly, the close signal A1 is turned on and the signal C2 of the AND circuit 5 stops the motor 6.
